Messerli benefit draws many

The benefit for the family of Kelly David Messerli drew a large number of people to the Eagles Club Saturday, Sept. 14, for dinner, auction, washerboard tournament and a live band.

Activities included a washerboard tournament starting at 10:30 a.m., a live band, a chicken strip dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. and an auction.

The auction featured a variety of items including several frozen food products and finished by 11:30 p.m.

Many family members were present to help out and lend support. Messerli was a major in the Missouri Army National Guard at the time of his death March 31.
