Spring play at California High School

The Language Arts and Theatre Department of California High School will bring its Spring Play to the the Performing Arts Center at the high school on Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5. Time is 7:30 p.m. both nights. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for students.

"The Curious Savage" is described as "a playful comedy, highlighting the ludicrous nature of greed and the power of the kind at heart." The play, written by playwright John Patrick, is directed by California's own Ann Ashby. The original stage play premiered in New York on Oct. 24, 1950, starring Lillian Gish.

Students performing are Maria Banda, Ashley Douglas, Alex Davis, Hannah Clutter, Tyler Small, Courtney Kilmer, Tyler Kuttenkuler, Lindsey Morris, Mason Albertson, Jordan Simmons and Dylan Silvey.
