Indians down Lions

The Russellville High School baseball teams traveled to Tuscumbia April 23, where the varsity defeated the Lions 4-2.

Ryland Johnson recorded the win with one strikeout.

Chase Smith led Russellville hits with a double, two singles, and one RBI. Johnson had two hits including a home run and two RBI. Seth Kuda and Zach Voss each had one hit.

Russellville's JV lost 3-2 to Tuscumbia.

The Indians participated in the Waynesville Round Robin Tournament Saturday, where Russellville lost to Waynesville, followed by a loss to Lutheran St. Charles.

Clayton Meyer recorded the loss with 11 strikeouts.

Clayton Thompson led Russellville hits with two. Meyer had a home run and one RBI, and Smith had a double and one RBI.

The Indians suffered a tough loss to Lutheran St. Charles, 11-0.

Russellville will play a make-up game at Jamestown at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday).
