The Moniteau County 911 Emergency Dispatch Center Board of Directors monthly meeting was held a week late on Aug. 21. Administrator Corey Sullivan reported that Samantha Lewis, hired part-time in July, has accepted full-time employment.The telephone company has been contacted to provide information to allow Geo-Comm to continue an analysis.
Sullivan reported looking at the possibility to add texting to the 911 services. It is believed only one county is currently able to receive texts to 911.
The administrator has been in discussions with directors concerning 911 phone upgrades. After September 2017, the phones will no longer be covered by maintenance contracts.
The board approved a request to purchase three Microsoft Office Home / Business 2013 for the dispatch computers at $203.13 each, totaling $609.39.
Since no one filed for the open seats for District 1, District 2 and Member-at-Large, the board will need to appoint people to fill the seats.
The board approved the minutes of the May 15 regular meeting. According to the treasurer's report, sales tax received was $44,711.60. The MMDA account balance as of July 31 was $444,978.43. The CD balance was about $102,400 as of July 31. The total payroll was: July 31 - $10,950.54; Aug. 13 - $8,435.59. Overall payroll taxes were $7,650.53. Total accounts payable approved at the meeting amounted to $10,111.06.
The next monthly meeting is 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the 911 Center.
