Two-vehicle collision injures three

Three people sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, in Moniteau County, on Highway 50 one-tenth of a mile east of Scott Branch Road.

According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred when a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban, driven on Highway 50 by Tyler J. Akin, Camdenton, crossed the center of the roadway and struck head-on a 1999 Chevrolet S-10, driven by Wanda S. Hendricks, Jefferson City.

The driver and a passenger in the Hendricks vehicle, William J. Hendricks Sr., were both transported by Staff For Life to University Hospital in Columbia in serious condition. Akin was transported to St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, in serious condition. All three were reported to have been wearing seat belts.

Both vehicles were reported totaled.
