"This is an exciting time for us," California Coach Bobby Sangster said. "This time of the season is what the girls have worked so hard for. They have practiced over 100 hours up to this point. They understand what we're trying to do and they want to compete and be successful."

"I feel good about us competing for conference," Sangster said. "At this point, we have a chance to bring home a banner. After that, hopefully districts will take care of itself. We're just going to keep on like we have been for seven years now. Things have been clicking for us recently. The girls are confident. When you give a hungry team a chance, they can be dangerous. We could shock some people."
