Thursday, Dec. 19, was the big night for the California first graders as they performed in their Christmas concert. The songs performed by the youth for the "The Littlest Reindeer" were "Getting Ready for Christmas," "The Littlest Reindeer," "Up! Up! Up!," "Stuck in the Chimney," "A Special Gift," and a reprise of "Up! Up! Up!"

Santa's sleigh is getting the final touches at the North Pole when the Littlest Reindeer, portrayed by Kenzleigh Goans, shows up and wants to help. The other reindeer and the elves laugh at her and tell her to go away, since she's too little too help. She stows away on the sleigh. It works out well, since Santa, portrayed by Ty McDonald, gets stuck in a chimney, which is too small for him. The small reindeer rescues Santa from the chimney and Christmas from disaster.

The presentation was directed by Stacy Friedrich.
