Moniteau Christian Ministries seeking volunteers

Moniteau Christian Ministries Center (MCMC) is offering a volunteer orientation session Saturday, Jan. 18, at 2:30 p.m., in the new building located at 303 Latham Road, California. Both current and new volunteers for the Project Share resale shop and the Cargill Cares Food Pantry will be given a tour of the almost completed building which will house both ministries.

Anyone who would like to volunteer in either the food pantry or Project Share who has not done so before is both encouraged and welcomed to attend along with current volunteers. The new building space will require some changes to existing procedures and revision of other processes altogether. All volunteers will be taken through the process and procedures in the new spaces, will complete some paperwork, and be given the opportunity to have their questions answered.

MCMC is an all volunteer organization, from the Board of Directors, to every volunteer who helps in the food pantry and the resale shop. The ministry of providing help to the poorest neighbors in Moniteau County can only be accomplished through the many hundreds of hours given by volunteers who care for their neighbors in need.

Questions about the volunteer orientation session may be directed to Barb Mannering 573-796-4409 or Bonnie Howard, in the Tipton area 660-433-2561.

Project Share will be closed from Jan. 23 to Feb. 5. The store will reopen, with its regular hours, at the new site on Thursday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. Project Share personnel ask that clothing donors hold their donations until after the reopening.
