The Moniteau County Historical Society met Jan. 13, with the society's new president Dottie Gump presiding. Gump requested the new society board meet Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. There were a number of changes in the committee chairs with some resigning and others being newly appointed. Nancy Martin replaces Dottie Gump as corresponding secretary. David Jungmeyer will head a committee to restructure the museum and displays committee due to the resignation of long time chairman Richard Schroeder.

Pam Green agreed to take over for Carole Schroeder as chair of the membership committee.

Those chairpersons still to be appointed are building and grounds as long time chair Jim Martin has resigned and head of the fund raising committee to replace Nancy Martin.

The Genealogy Library chairperson James Albin reported during the past year there were 68 plus visitors from 10 states who came to the genealogy library.

Paul Jungmeyer called for a meeting of the building committee at 6:15 p.m., Jan. 20.

The program for the evening was the society's annual "Show and Tell" when members bring antiques and share the story behind the item. Ten members brought items and as usual there were some great stories. After the program refreshments were served by hospitality chair Irma Plaster.

The next meeting of the society will be Feb. 10, at the Cultural Heritage center. Guests are always welcome.
