The California Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its 10th annual golf tournament Wednesday, June 11, at the California Country Club, where at total of 19 teams of three participated in the 18-hole event.

Coming in first place was the team of Doug Miller, Dwaine Polly and Micky Sommerer with 60.

"We've played in this tournament a lot of years," Miller said. "I think the three of us have won the last five or six years. It's a good tournament and always a fun day to be out playing. We had nice weather. We appreciate Dr. Bohn sponsoring us."

There was a tie for second place with the team of Robb Hartman, Josh Mudd and Drew Tucker, and the team of Casey Wasser, Steve Wasser and Donnie McGuire. Both finished with 61.

Winners of contests held at the tournament are as follows. The 50/50 Raffle was won by Mudd, who took home $118. The Closest to the Pin was won by Freda Oliver, and the Longest Drive was won by Kenny Imhoff.

Winning the Team Needing Most Improvement contest were Daniel Williams, Julie Lenz and Gary Baker.

"The tournament went very well," Event Chairman Dwight Sanders said. "We had good weather, at least no rain, and we had great support from business owners in our community who donated items for the event. It was just a great all-around day."
