 A native of California SGT Wyatt L. Lutz enlisted into the Army 27 January 2009. SGT Lutz completed Basic Combat Training in April 2009 and Advanced Individual Training on Aug. 15 at Fort Gordon, Geo rgia where he was awarded MOS 25U, Signal Support Systems Specialist. His previous assignments include Alpha Troop, 1-33 Cavalry Squadron, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Campbell, Kentucky from Sept.14 2009 to June 10, 2011 where he served as Forward Signal Support NCO. He is currently assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 10th Regional Support Group as Forward Signal Support NCO and Telephone Control Officer. He had also served as the President of the Better Opportunity for Single Soldiers Program from July 2012 to January 2014. His military education includes the Warrior Leader Course, Combatives Level 1, Unit Prevention Leader and Combat Life Saver Course.

SGT Lutz's awards include, Army Commendation Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, and the Combat Action Badge.

His hobbies include, playing basketball, running, and scuba diving. His favorite baseball team is the St. Louis Cardinals and favorite football team is the Kansas City Chiefs. SGT Lutz's short term goals is to complete Airborne School, earn an Associate's Degree in General Studies, and to earn a promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant. His long term goal is to complete Special Forces Assessment and Selection, achieve a Masters Degree, and one day retire as a Command Sergeant Major.Sgt Lutz is the son of Allan and Myra Lutz,California. The grandson of Mary Shelton, Clarksburg, and the late Woody Carpenter and Katie Lutz, Tipton, and the lateTubby Lutz.
