Cory W. Wierman, California, sustained fatal injuries at 11:50 p.m., Friday, May 23, when his vehicle ran off the road and rolled over. The fatality occurred on Lookout Trail one mile east of String Creek Road.
According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred when an eastbound 2000 Ford Focus, driven by Wierman, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected slid off the left side of the roadway and overturned. He was transported to University Hospital, Columbia, where he was pronounced dead at 6:33 a.m. Saturday, May 24.
According to the report, the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The car was reported totaled.
