The Jamestown varsity softball team hosted Russellville Aug. 25 for the Lady Eagles' first game of the 2014 season, where Jamestown captured a 13-1 win in five innings.
Stephanie Birkmann recorded the win for the Lady Eagles.
"Stephanie also had the big hit of the game," Jamestown Coach E.H. Hirschvogel said "She hit a three-run triple in the second inning."
The JV contest ended in a tie at 7-7 after three innings.
Jamestown will host Prairie Home at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4.
