JCMG is pleased to announce that The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine has recognized local physician, Sara Bohn, DO, JCMG Family Health Clinic, with one of the highest honors they can bestow on a physician as a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
This week, Dr. Bohn will travel to Philadelphia to be acknowledged as a physician whose professional knowledge and activities have promoted the practice of hospice and palliative medicine. This achievement is through work experience, testing, membership with the academy and board certification.
Dr. Bohn has worked in the hospice and palliative medicine field over the past 22 years, since completing her residency in family medicine. She has worked hard to earn this award by demonstrating commitment to the field of hospice and palliative medicine. "I believe that all patients deserve honesty and options with every diagnosis. Each patient can make decisions regarding their health care that are in line with their personal and family beliefs, needs and goals," says Dr. Bohn.
