The Pintos took third out of eight teams in Wednesday’s Tri-County Conference Tournament behind fifth-place finishes from Dylan Kramel and Jordan Geiser. Both Kramel and Geiser carded an 80 to earn all-conference honors.
Liam Schatzer (86) and Kale McAdams (94) were the other top-four finishers for California as the team totaled a 340 on the day. Southern Boone won the event and Blair Oaks took second-place.
Pintos take second at Centralia Tournament
A fifth-place finish from Geiser and an eighth-place score from Kramel powered California to a second-place team finish in the Centralia Tournament on April 18. Geiser (80) and Kramel (84) both earned medalist honors.
Schatzer fired an 87 for a 13th-place finish and McAdams carded a 92 to tie for 15th and help the Pintos tally a team score of 343. Palmyra, who had all five of its golfers place in the top 10, won the event resoundingly with a 310.
“I am very proud of how well they played,†golf coach Doug Miller said. “It has taken longer than I thought it would, but we are starting to peak.â€
