A Camdenton man with a history of sexual abuse charges is facing more such charges.
Dennis Purdy, 71, was charged this week with eight counts of second-degree statutory sodomy and one count each of first-degree child molestation and first-degree attempted sodomy.
The charges date back to incidents in December 2008, December 2012, June 2013 and May 2016, according to Camden County authorities.
A female victim said Purdy inappropriately touched her on multiple occasions, dating back to when she was 8 years old. She kept a journal of the incidents, including drawings of a person asking for help.
Purdy has a criminal history including a June 2013 incident when, as the owner of a Dairy Queen restaurant, he was accused of touching an employee inappropriately.
