Three people have been charged following a drug bust outside the Moniteau County Jail.
Sheriff's department reports show deputies were called Tuesday to the jail in California on a report from staff that a person had come into the office to register as a sex offender. The staff noticed this person had a strong odor of marijuana on them.
Deputies located the vehicle this person was driving and found two people inside. A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the car. After obtaining a search warrant, deputies recovered marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia from inside the vehicle.
The following subjects have been charged in this case:
Vickie S. Fowler, 39, of California, charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Alicia M. Guillen, 36, of Tipton, charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Crystal D. Branch, 38, of Fortuna, charged with possession of marijuana.
