College Football: Barr leads Truman State

KIRKSVILLE - Truman State quarterback Jaden Barr scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter Saturday in the Bulldogs' 24-17 win against Indianapolis in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup.

Barr (California High School), a redshirt-freshman, scored on a 1-yard run on the opening play of the fourth quarter to give Truman State a 21-14 lead. He finished with 78 yards rushing on 19 carries and also completed 15-of-26 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Truman State (4-1) hits the road Saturday to face Southwest Baptist in Bolivar in a battle of the first-place teams in the GLVC.
