Prep Football: Falcons, Jays hold steady in rankings

The Blair Oaks Falcons and Jefferson City Jays held onto their positions in the latest edition of the Missouri Media prep football rankings released this morning.

Blair Oaks (2-0) is No. 2 in Class 3 after its 28-20 victory last Friday at Oak Grove. The Falcons received two first-place votes from among the 14 media members from around the state participating in the rankings.

Jefferson City (2-0) is No. 3 in Class 6. The Jays were 83-6 winners against Springfield Central last Friday at Adkins Stadium.

Only one other area school is receiving votes in the poll - School of the Osage. The Indians (2-0) received 14 points in the voting.

The No. 1 teams remained the same this week - C.B.C. in Class 6, Chaminade in Class 5, Kearney in Class 4, Maryville in Class 3, Lamar in Class 2 and Valle Catholic in Class 1.
