Tipton's Morris to wrestle at Wentworth

Tipton High School senior Makayla Morris recently signed a letter of intent to continue her wrestling career at Wentworth Military Academy and College in Lexington, Missouri.

Morris has excelled on the mat since joining the sport of wrestling her junior year of high school. She took first at the Missouri Girls Wrestling State Tournament in both 2015 and 2016 and earned All-American runner-up honors at Brute Nationals in 2015. She also earned three medals at the War of the Roses tournament. Morris was a captain on the Tipton wrestling team.

Outside of wrestling, Morris has been a very active student in Tipton. She has participated in softball, volleyball and track and field, and has been a member of FFA, Chamber Choir, Flag Corp and Speech Team.
