Blair Oaks ranked in Class 3, Jays and Crusaders receiving votes in state football poll

The Tri-County Conference is well-represented in the football preseason Missouri Media Rankings.

Four conference schools received votes in the Class 3 poll released this morning.

The Blair Oaks Falcons lead the way, holding down the No. 4 position. The Southern Boone Eagles are tied for 10th, while the School of the Osage Indians and the Eldon Mustangs are both receiving votes.

The South Callaway Bulldogs are the other area team to make the top 10 in their class, holding down the No. 8 spot in Class 2.

The Jefferson City Jays are receiving votes in the Class 6 rankings, as are the Helias Crusaders in the Class 4 poll.

The No. 1 teams are Blue Springs (Class 6), Vianney (Class 5), Webb City (Class 4), McCluer South-Berkeley (Class 3), Lamar (Class 2) and Hamilton-Penney (Class 1).

A total of 15 voters from across the state participate in the rankings. The News Tribune is one of the voters.
