No area basketball team made a bigger splash during the season than the Prairie Home girls team. For leading the Lady Panthers to fourth place in Class 1 during a thrilling postseason run, Dalton Armontrout was named Coach of the Year. Prairie Home seniors Shianne Rhorer and Rachel Distler were named on the Class 1 girls first team.
Elsewhere in Class 1, Jamestown's Trenton Barbour was named first team all-district after winning CCAA Player of the Year. Jamestown junior Garrett Wolfe and Prairie Home senior Ross Kendrick joined Barbour on the Class 1 boys first team.
Jamestown's Austin Flippin and Prairie Home's Creed Flood and Wyatt Borghardt were all named to the Class 1 boys second team, while Jamestown sophomore Chiane Harlan was named to the girls second team.
In Class 2, Tipton's Abby Backes and Alyson Brant received girls first team spots after helping lead the Lady Cardinals to a Kaysinger Conference title.
Tipton sophomore Brooklyn Pace was named to the girls second team, as was Russellville senior McKendra Fischer. Russellville senior Dylan Henderson represented the Indians on the boys second team.
For California, Elizabeth Lutz was named first team all-district in Class 3 after leading the Lady Pintos in points, assists, rebounds and steals. On the boys side, Jacob Wolken and Isaac Ash were named to the second team.
