Prep Baseball: Russellville 26, School of the Osage 13

LAKE OZARK, Mo. - If an eight-run second inning wasn't enough Monday for the Russellville Indians, they made sure they put the game away in the top of the seventh.

Russellville scored nine runs in the final inning to pull away to a 26-13 win against the School of the Osage Indians.

Chandler Miller was credited with the win for Russellville. He pitched 2 innings in relief, allowing three runs on three hits with one walk and one strikeout.

Eight of Russellville's nine batters in the starting lineup collected at least one hit.

Nick Thompson led off the game with a solo home run to left field. He finished 3-for-5 with three RBI and four runs scored.

Two players finished with four hits each for Russellville.

Mason Stewart had three singles and one double, scoring twice and driving in six runs. Trenton Morrow finished 4-for-6, also collecting three singles and one double while driving in three runs.

Landon Plochberger matched Stewart's six RBI, going 3-for-5 with two singles and one double. Ethan Huff went 3-for-4 with three singles and four runs scored, while Riley Marcum added two singles.

Miller and Braden Hickey each scored four runs for Russellville, which had 21 hits - 15 for singles.

Russellville scored three times in the first and sixth innings and added two runs in the fourth and another in the fifth.

Russellville (8-7) plays today at Jamestown.

In Monday's JV game, Osage won 6-4 in four innings.
