NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. - The Eugene Lady Eagles advanced to the semifinals of the Class 2 District 8 Tournament with a 59-54 win against Russellville on Monday.
The Lady Indians took the early advantage, leading 14-10 after one quarter of play. Eugene then took a slim 30-29 lead at halftime and extended it to 41-37 heading to the fourth quarter.
Ally Harris scored a game-high 21 points for the Lady Indians, who end their season at 17-9. Jayla Volkart added 12 points.
Maddy Lepper led Eugene with 17 points and Alexis Angerer scored 12.
Eugene (16-10) will face top-seeded New Bloomfield at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the tournament semifinals.
