MOKANE, Mo. - The New Haven Lady Shamrocks pulled away in the second half Monday, defeating the Russellville Lady Indians 72-35 in the first round of the South Callaway Tournament.
The Lady Indians kept it close in the first half, trailing the Lady Shamrocks 18-15 after one quarter and 33-25 at halftime. However, New Haven outscored Russellville 26-5 in the third quarter to pull away to a 59-30 lead.
Ally Harris led the Lady Indians with 10 points.
Russellville (9-5), the No. 6 seed, faces seventh-seeded Montgomery County in the loser's bracket semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
