Lutz, Mann nominated for McDonald's All-Star Game

California senior Elizabeth Lutz and South Callaway senior Adrian Mann were announced as nominees Wednesday for the 2018 McDonald's All-American Game.

Lutz and Mann are two of 423 girls basketball players across the nation to be nominated as McDonald's All-Americans. Only 12 girls from Missouri were nominated, including Payton McCallister of Rock Bridge.

Both Lutz and Mann have signed NCAA Division I scholarships for next season. Lutz will play at Western Illinois in Macomb, Ill., while Mann will take the court for Nicholls State in Thibodaux, La.

Mann has the Lady Bulldogs off to a 13-0 start this season and a No. 5 ranking in Class 3, while Lutz has guided the Lady Pintos to an 11-2 record.

California coach Bobby Sangster said Lutz is the first McDonald's All-American nominee in his 11 seasons with the Lady Pintos.

The Missouri men's and women's basketball team each had one signee from its 2018 recruiting class among the All-American nominees.

Whitfield's Torrence Watson was one of six boys basketball players in Missouri to be nominated, as well as Missouri target Courtney Ramey of Webster Groves.

For the Missouri women, Grace Berg of Indianola, Iowa, was one of 11 nominees from her home state.

Joe Machens Great 8 Classic MVP Dane Goodwin, of Upper Arlington (Ohio), was also selected as a McDonald's All-American nominee.

The final rosters for the McDonald's All-Star Game, which will be played March 28 in Atlanta, will be announced at a later date.
