MOKANE, Mo. - A rough second quarter hindered the Russellville Lady Indians in a 49-39 loss Friday against the North Callaway Lady Thunderbirds in the fifth-place game of the South Callaway Tournament.
The Lady Indians led 9-6 through one quarter, but they were outscored 15-4 in the second quarter and trailed 21-13 at halftime. North Callaway continued to lead 33-25 at the end of the third quarter.
Allison Schrimpf led the Lady Indians with 10 points.
Russellville (10-6) hosts Chamois next Thursday in Show-Me Conference play.
