Jenny Simpson, the wife of California-native John Simpson and granddaughter-in-law of California's Roy Simpson, owner of Simpson's Barber Shop, took the silver medal in the women's 1500-meter final at the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) World Athletics Championships Aug. 7 in London, England, with a time of 4:02.76.
She won the first U.S. Olympic medal in the women's 1500-meter in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - her third Olympic Games.
