The California Pintos boys golf team defeated Fatima on April 2 at the California Country Club with a score of 166 to Fatima's score of 208.

Jordon Geiser and Enoch Dunaway were both medalists with a score of 39 for California. Jordan Bondurant was the varsity runner-up with a score of 41. Kyle Kirksey was the junior varsity medalist with a score of 46.

Head coach Doug Miller said the team had its best score of the year so far and he was pleased.

Miller said the team's focus has been a big improvement.

"I think it will continue as the weather gets better," Miller said.

But there is still room for improvement, he said. "There is still a lot to work on, and they will continue to do just that."

Miller said he noticed the attitude of the team changed for the first match after Geiser came back from a broken hand.

"I will also say Jordan's 39 on the second day back was a welcome surprise," Miller said.
