Warren Harold George, 91, passed away on Tuesday Nov. 27th at his home in Bunceton, Mo. He was born Jan, 23, 1921 in Sedalia, Mo. the only son of Edgar and Sadie George both of whom preceded him in death. Memorial services were held at the Bunceton Federated Church on Saturday, December 1, 2012. A private graveside service will be held by the family later at the Masonic Cemetery in Bunceton, MO. Warren was married on Feb.1, 1942 to Mary Frances Layne who was by his side for 71 years and until his death. He graduated from Boonville High School, with the class of 1938. He attended both MU in Columbia and CMSC in Warrensburg. He was employed for 30 years by the Soil Conservation Service, Department of Interior. During retirement he and Mary worked for 11 seasons for Hamilton Stores in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. When not at the park they traveled all 50 states and numerous countries. He enjoyed life on the farm, family, friends, camping, hiking, photography, geneology, and dancing. Warren was a long time member of the Bunceton Lions Club, Bunceton Federated Church and Neosho Rotary Club. He is survived by 2 sons, and 2 daughters and their spouses. Larry & Myra George of Sedalia, Gary & Carla George of Neosho, Beverly & Jerry Greever of California, Penny & Padraic Brady of Cedarcreek. He has 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and one newborn great-great-granddaughter, Liara Michelle Ann Greever. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Mitchell. Memorials suggested to the Bunceton Federated Church and the Bunceton Lions Club.
