Wanda Mae Wolfrum

Wanda Mae (Hamilton) Wolfrum, 84, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013, at the nursing home due to paralyzing strokes in recent months. Her husband, Hadley, passed away on 11/21/12 at the nursing home, where they shared a room. She was born July 28, 1928, in Topeka, KS, to Boyd C. and Alice T. (Webber) Hamilton, the next to youngest of four children. After high school, she was employed as a typesetter by Capper's Weekly. On June 5, 1955, she was married to Hadley E. Wolfrum at a Methodist church, Topeka. They were members of the Shawnee United Methodist Church. They are survived by a son, Chris Emil Wolfrum, Shawnee; a daughter, Alice (and Barry) Steger, with their three children Alina, Arianna, and Jake Steger, all of Borger, TX; one brother, Duane (Inez) Hamilton of Topeka, KS; a nephew, David (Barbara) Rake, Topeka; one sister-in-law, Ruth E. Schmidt, Tipton, MO; and one niece, Charlene (Michael) Nash, with sons Steven and David of Bloomfield, IA. Funeral services will be held at Amos Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS, at 10 a.m., April 6, with public graveside services at 3 p.m. at Rohrbach Cemetery, the Rev. Andrew Lovins officiating. Pallbearers will be: Abe Rohrbach, Norman Rohrbach, Jerry Wolfrum, Lloyd Decker, Charles W. Phillips, Edgar Phillips, and Jerry Connor.
