Lydia Winkler

Lydia Winkler met her Savior on April 6, 2013. Lydia was born in Russellville, MO on Sept. 3, 1935, to Martin and Margaret (Strobel) Niederwimmer. She was a master seamstress, teaching others for decades how to create clothing, quilts, and embroidery, and was a woman with endless talents and initiative. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Mrs. Winkler is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert; brothers Alvin (Dorothy) and Carl (Vonnie); sons Alan (Denise) and Gary (Rae) and granddaughters Rachel and Valerie. She was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela. Visitation will be Thurs. April 11 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Collier's Funeral Home on 3400 N. Lindbergh in St. Ann, MO. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 12 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 12397 Natural Bridge in Bridgeton, MO at 10:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church's Christian Education Fund.
