Bryan James Kennedy

Bryan James Kennedy, (Ticker) 22, of Prairie Home, MO., passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on May 12, 1991, in Mansfield, MO. He was the son of James and Teresa (McIntosh) Kennedy. Bryan was a 2009 graduate of Prairie Home High School. While in high school he played basketball, baseball, and track. He also helped coach the midget league baseball team for a couple of years. Bryan also loved slow pitch softball and traveled many places to play ball. Bryan attended Lincoln University, in Jefferson City, MO., along with State Fair Community College, in Sedalia, MO. He was working on a major in broadcast journalism in sports. Bryan was currently working at Casey's General Store in California, MO. He had also worked at Cargill in California, MO., Boonville Casino in Boonville, MO., and Nordyne Inc. in Tipton, MO. Bryan was always on the go, nothing ever held him back. He had a smile that could light up any room. Bryan was a huge sports fan. He loved Alabama football, he was a fan for life. He enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals. He could give you stats on any sports team. He enjoyed playing video games, most importantly Bryan enjoyed being with family and friends. There were very few times when Bryan didn't know somebody, he was a social butterfly. He was truly an inspiration to many and will be missed by many. He is survived by his parents James and Teresa Kennedy of Prairie Home, MO., two sisters; Krissie Kennedy with fiance Cody Edwards of California, MO., and Jessie Kennedy of Prairie Home, MO., grandparents Ben and Juanita Rector, Stafford, MO., grandparents Charles Kennedy, of Mansfield, MO., aunts; Norma Coday, Wilma Lancaster, Vickie Collins, all of Mansfield, MO., Mary Swafford, of Fordland, MO., and Janet Prein, of Arkansas, uncles; Eddie McIntosh, Paul McIntosh, and Donnie McIntosh, of Norwood, MO., and Billy Kennedy, of Mansfield, MO., and one nephew; Wyatt Edwards, with many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Mary Mitchell. Graveside services will be at Macomb, MO., at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Interment will be at McIntosh cemetery. Officiating will be Kenneth McIntosh and Brandon McIntosh. Memorial Contribution may be given to the Family of Bryan Kennedy c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, MO.
