John R. Hume

John R. Hume, 89, of California, MO passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Tipton Oak Manor. He was born on August 17, 1923 in California, MO the son of John Richard and Minnie Lee (Guy) Hume, both of whom preceded him in death. John served in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by one son, Lloyd "Butch" Hume and wife Brenda of California, MO; one sister, Juanita "Barney" Riley and husband Jim of Hanover, IL; one granddaughter, Brandy Myers and husband Gary of Lenexa, KS; one grandson, Shawn Hume of California, MO; and one great-grandson, C.J. Myers of Lenexa, KS. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Hume of Midland, MI, and Fredrick Hume of California, MO; three sisters, Emma Walters of California, MO, and Delta Allee of Latham, MO, and Alta Hume of California, MO; and one infant son, Dale Hume. A memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, MO.
