Marjorie Oerly, 78, of Jamestown, MO passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Moniteau Care Center. She was born on September 2, 1934 in California, MO the daughter of William P. and Martha Mae (Heather) Ash, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on July 12, 1952 in California, MO to Don Oerly who preceded her in death on April 1, 2009. She was a homemaker and a member of Moniteau Evangelical Advent Church. She worked for many years as a cook in the cafeteria of Jamestown Schools, and was an avid quilter later in life. She is survived by one son, Terry Oerly (Patty) of Jamestown, MO; two daughters, Debbie Porter (Lanny) of California, MO and Linda Schnieders (Leroy), also of California; 6 grandchildren, Amy Higgins (Heath), Emily Porter, Stacey Bolinger (Aaron), Rachelle Kiesling (Aaron), Ryan Oerly with special friend Lindsey Dean, and Megan Messerli (Chris); 12 great-grandchildren, Trinity Higgins, Tagen Higgins, Tayte Higgins, Griffin Bolinger, Aidan Bolinger, Ashton Bolinger, Trenton Kiesling, Ripken Kiesling, Jordan Oerly, Lane Oerly, Ty Oerly, and Clabe Messerli; one brother, Gene Ash (Judy) of California; one sister-in-law, Doris Wittenberger of Jefferson City, MO; and one brother-in-law, Dean Oerly (Marie) of Boonville, MO. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Robert Ash; and 1 sister Ruth Elliott. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Moniteau Evangelical Advent Church north of California, MO. Burial was in Moniteau Evangelical Advent Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Brian Bish. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice Compassus, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak, California, MO 65018. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, MO.
