Elsie D. Flippin

Elsie D. Flippin, 85, of California, MO went to be with her heavenly father, Monday, October 21, 2013 at her home. She was born on December 7, 1927 in Rocky Mount MO., the daughter of Argo and Margie Kelsay Hees. She was married November 9, 1948 to Richard L. Flippin. Elsie worked for the California Manufacturing Company for over 40 years. She later worked at the California Nutrition Center and did ironing. Elsie attended Eldon School through the 11th grade and graduated her senior year at Jamestown High School. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown, MO. Those left to mourn her loss include: four daughters; Carolyn Smith (Keith), Brenda Frerking (Jerry), Renita Ashley, and Cheryl Heislitz (Klaus), all of Jamestown, MO., three sons; Daryl Flippin (Kathy), Randy Flippin (Sharon), both of Jamestown MO., and Kevin Flippin (Shelly), of California MO., one sister; Erma Jean Stark (Gary), of Jefferson City, MO., one brother; Vencil Hees (Joyce), of California MO. and Shelba Hees, sister-in-law of Jamestown MO. 14 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, and infant daughter Shelia and one brother Murrel Hees. Graveside services were officiated by Pastor Luther Herman on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jamestown, MO.
