James Flippin

James "Jim" Flippin, 65, of Latham, MO passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. Jim was a life-long resident of Latham, Mo., and was born October 23, 1947 in Moniteau Co. the son of William Ray Flippin who preceded him in death and his mother Irene (Turpin) Flippin who survives. Jim worked as an auto mechanic at Hainen Ford through the 1970's and the 1980's. He also worked for the Moniteau Co. road district for many years. He was a veteran of the US Army. Survivors include; 3 nephews, Jason Flippin of Eldon, Steven Flippin of Sherman, TX and Nick Flippin of College Station, TX. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry and David Flippin. Funeral Services were on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home. Officiating was Rev. Jim Randall. Burial with Military Honors was at Highland Cemetery near Latham. Memorials are suggested to the Highland Cemetery Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, MO.
