Gerry G. Purvis

Gerry Purvis, 60, of Jamestown, passed away at University Hospital in Columbia, MO on Sunday morning, December 22, 2013. Gerry G. Purvis was born in Boonville, MO June 26, 1953, the daughter of Raymond Hicks and Dorothy Kirschman Hicks. She married Kenny Purvis in Prairie Home Aug. 30, 1980. Gerry had worked at Ashley Manor Care Center for many years. She enjoyed camping and outdoor activities with her constant companions, her dogs. She was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in California, MO. Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Christopher and Jonathan, and her brother, Lester Trimble. She is survived by her husband, Kenny, of the home, son, Michael Purvis (Lisa) of Columbia, her daughter, Gina Purvis, of Warsaw, MO, her sisters; Peggy Adair of Wooldridge, Dixie Betts of New Franklin, Sherry Wilson of California, MO and Susie Knox of Prairie Home and brother, Barry Trimble of Boonville. Funeral services were held at Davis chapel Friday, Dec. 27 with Rev. Eddie Schoeneberg and Ken Mathes officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
