Adam Keith Pedego, 28, of Tipton, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Lake Ozark, MO, while attempting to rescue a family member. He was born May 19, 1986, in Columbia, son of Richard Keith Pedego and Lucy Sue Bestgen Pedego. Adam had attended Missouri Valley College and Columbia College. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family and friends. Adam worked as a bartender. Surviving are his father, Rick Pedego, of Sedalia; his mother, Lucy Pedego, of Columbia; a sister, Alyson Drinkard (Curtis), of California, MO; paternal grandfather, Ron Pedego (Georgia), of Tipton; a niece, Camryn; a nephew, Coen; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Pedego; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Lucille Bestgen; and an uncle, Reggie Pedego. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton, with Father Fred Elskamp officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Nick Bestgen, Nathan Bestgen, Derek Lowe, Greg Bestgen, Rustin Reys, Danny Bestgen, Eric Clark, David Anderson and Drew Anderson. Honorary bearers will be Ryan Trowbridge, Adam Henningson, Michael Cheatham and Brandon Meyerotta. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton.
