Cory Wayne Wierman, 23 of California, MO passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia, MO. Cory was born on March 13, 1991 in Jefferson City, MO, the son of Wayne Wierman and Valarie (Robertson) Siebert. He graduated from California High School in 2009 and attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. Cory worked in the Siebert family concrete business with his stepfather. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church where he was baptized, and he attended Lebanon Baptist Church. Cory loved hanging out with his buddies, enjoyed watching sprint car races and helping Tyler Blank with his sprint car. Cory also loved playing and writing music. Survivors include his mother, Valarie Siebert and husband Brent of the home, father, Wayne Wierman and Leslie Rumans, Tipton, MO, maternal grandparents, Jr. and Cheryl Billingsley, Tipton, MO, and Jack Siebert and Kay, California, MO, two brothers, A. J. Siebert, California, MO, and Josh Upton, California, MO, two sisters, Gracie Wierman, Tipton, MO, and Mya Wierman, Tipton, MO, as well as numerous loving family members. Cory was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Syd and Grace Wierman. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lebanon Baptist Church in McGirk, MO. Officiating will be Rev. Jeremy Bernard, Pastor Carl Edwards, and Rev. Ken Mathes with a special reading by his cousin Mike Staton. Interment will be at California Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cory Wierman Turn One, Up and Coming Young Driver Memorial Fund c/o the funeral home.
