Florence Iona (Chapman) Kroeck, 99, formerly of California, Mo., passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at her son's home in Berryville, Ark. Florence was born on December 2, 1916, in Carroll County, Mo., the only daughter of Clifton M. and Mattie E. (Childs) Chapman. She grew up in Kansas City, Mo., graduating from Central High School. Florence and C. M. (Jack) Kroeck of Lexington, Mo., were united in marriage on December 24, 1939. Together they celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing in 1992. Florence was the oldest living member of the First Christian Church of California, Mo., a member and past president of the C.W.F. and Sarah Scott Group. A member of The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #521, past president of The General Federated Womens Club, a volunteer at Capital Region Medical Center and a member of "Partners" while there. She also served on the Moniteau Cancer Board. Florence is survived by: her two sons, Gary M. Kroeck (Mardee) of Liberty, Mo. and Jack L. Kroeck (Jonathan Greene) of Berryville, Ark.; three grandchildren, Seth D. Kroeck (Maura) of Brunswick, Maine, their children, Griffin and Leila, Cinnemon A. Hilmes (Ben) of Kansas City, Mo., their daughter, Brystol and Gary Douglas Kroeck of Cape Canaveral, Fla. She was also preceded in death by: her parents and four brothers, Harold, Glen, Donald and Lawrence. Graveside services will be held at the Masonic Cemetery in California, Mo., Thursday, August 4, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Cancer Society or The Hemophelia Foundation c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California, Mo.
