Jan Irey

Jan Irey, 58, of Latham, Mo., passed away Monday, January 25, 2016, at Capital Region Medical Center Jefferson City, Mo. She was born on March 15, 1957,in Sedalia, Mo., to Robert and Mary (Sanders) Thomas, her father preceded her in death. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1975 and then graduated from Metro Business School with her Associates Degree in Business. On April 16, 1976, in Syracuse, Mo., Jan was united in marriage to Jim Irey who survives of the home. From 1995 to her recent retirement in December 2015, Jan worked for Orvis-Gokey Manufacturing in Tipton, Mo. as Floor Supervisor. Jan was a member of Green Gove Baptist Church near Latham, Mo. Jan is survived by: her mother, Mary Thomas; husband, Jim Irey; son, Michael Irey; grandson, Trenten Irey; daughter, Michelle Irey; granddaughter, KaLynn Irey; sister, Kay Wolfe (Wendell); brother, Jim Thomas (Brenda); sister, Jean Newcomb (David); brother, Robbie Thomas (Paulette); and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Main Street Baptist Church on Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Main Street Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Fuller and Judge Peggy Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Green Grove Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the College Fund for Jan's grandchildren, c/o Jim Irey, P. O.
