Mrs. Diana K. Klug, 63, of New Bloomfield, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Villa Marie Nursing Home. Diana was born on February 21, 1953, in Jefferson City, Mo., a daughter of Frederick and Hilma (Strobel) Hegg. She was married on February 14, 1999, in California, Mo., to Jim D. Klug. A lifelong resident of central Missouri, Diana was a 1971 graduate of California High School. She was employed with the Missouri State Highway Patrol from 1995 until her retirement in 2010. She loved her years working for the Patrol, especially since she was able to meet Jim while working there. Previously she had worked at Cal's Thriftway, Farmers and Traders Bank, Burgher Haus and Gerbes West. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a former member of the United Church of Christ in California, Mo. She and Jim were active in the choir at Immanuel Baptist Church. Diana was a pillar of love to her family and provided unwavering guidance to her children and grandchildren. She cherished her time with them, especially babysitting her grandchildren. She enjoyed her retail therapy and bowling with friends and family. Survivors include: her husband, Jim Klug; one daughter, Elisha Carlock (husband James) of Jefferson City, Mo.; three sons, David Pearon (wife Angie) of Eldon, Mo., Kevin Klug (wife Tracy) of New Bloomfield, Mo., and Kasey Klug (wife Ashley) of Ozark, Mo.; one sister, Shirley Hegg of Jefferson City, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Brenten Carlock, Kalyn Carlock, Megan Carlock, Lilia Klug, Wyatt Klug, Alexys Klug, Paxton Klug, Jeremy Stone, and Amber Stone; six great-grandchildren and another one expected in December 2016; two nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by: her parents, one nephew, Bobby Taylor and her aunt, Alice Hutschreider, who was her Godmother. Visitation was held at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Reverend Shane Crum officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Immanuel Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
