Shirley Fay Doerr

Shirley Fay Doerr, 83, of California, Mo., passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. Shirley was born in Byron, Mo. on December 14, 1932, to the late Clifford and Mildred (Lehnhoff) Pointer. She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Joann Pointer; and brother-in-law, Bernard Garner. Her survivors include: her son, Eugene Edward Doerr and wife, Rita of Wentzville; brothers, Junior Pointer and wife, Joann and Rockey Pointer and wife, Janet; sisters, Goldeen Blankenship and husband, Edgar and Glory Garner; grandchildren, Bud Doerr and wife, Amanda and Amanda Pepor and husband, William; and by three great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Dylan, and Genevieve. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, at 2:00 p.m., at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Pastor Steve Macey officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Knob Baptist Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. in Belle.
