Elizabeth "Betty" Mae (Hilsinger) Stewart

Elizabeth "Betty" Mae (Hilsinger) Stewart, 78, of California, Mo., passed away at her residence on Thursday, November 17, 2016. She was born on June 23, 1938, in Dixon, Illinois the daughter James Wilbur Hilsinger and Elizabeth Broyls both of who preceded her in death. She was married on March 6, 1957, to George Henry Stewart Sr. who preceded her in death in 1986. She worked in packaging at Cargill for 25 years and retired in 2003. She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved animals, and loved Christmas. Survivors include: two sons, George H. Stewart Jr. of California, Mo., James W. Stewart of Syracuse, Mo.; one daughter, Ann Marie E. Davenport of California, Mo.; one sister, Joyce Elberg of Glasgow, Ky.; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: one daughter, Joyce Earley. Visitation was held on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 11 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Services followed at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiated by Bro. Roy Barnard. Burial was held at Bowlen Cemetery near California, Mo. Memorials suggested to, the family of Elizabeth "Betty" Mae (Hilsinger) Stewart for funeral expenses c/o the funeral home.
