Barbara (Lassetter) Caudel

On Friday, November 25, 2016, the Lord called Barbara (Lasseter) Caudel home while she was surrounded with family at her grandson's (Jeremy Caudel) home in California, Mo. Barbara was born November 6, 1934, in Mammoth Springs, Ark., to Arno and Goldie (McHugh) Lasseter. She attended Field Creek Country School and graduated from Mammoth Springs High School. She married the love of her life, Thomas P. Caudel, on May 3, 1953, at the First Assembly of God in Thayer, Mo. She was a lifetime member of the Field Creek Pentecostal Church. Anyone who knew Barbara knew she was a hard worker, who loved working at her home in Mammoth Springs, Ark. Most can probably recall a time or two they saw her mowing along the edge of the Spring River. Barbara started off working in Batesville, Ark., for Barnett Bros. Department Store. After 10 years, she then began working for Citizen's Bank where she greeted every customer with a smile for 38 years. She then worked at Southern Bank until her retirement. She also was the bookkeeper for several years at Kallsnick's. She is survived by: husband, Thomas Caudel; sister, Catherine Frankie; two sons, Rickey and Tommy (Becky) Caudel; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Cher) and Anthony (Kim) Caudel; eight great-children Nathanial (Shea), Meleigha, Whitney, Mara, Alexis, Micah, Maylee, and Breanna Caudel; one great-great grandson Easton. She was preceded in death by: her parents and one infant brother, Thomas Arno Lasseter. There will be a private ceremony at a later date.
