Brenda Kay Susan Scheperle, age 63, of Russellville, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born January 28, 1953, in Centertown, the only daughter of C.B. and Nadene Wilson Cliburn. Brenda was united in marriage to Dennis Scheperle on May 11, 1996, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman. Dennis survives at their home. She was a 1971 graduate of Russellville High School. Brenda attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg for one year. She later received her associates degree from Columbia College. Brenda retired from the State of Missouri Attorney General's office after serving as the Law Librarian for many years. She and Dennis were members of St. John's Lutheran Church-Stringtown and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693 in Jefferson City. She enjoyed going to flea markets, shopping, reading, cooking, the water and beach living. She loved spending time with friends and family; spoiling her children and her grandchildren at every opportunity. Brenda's passion was making the most of every day she was given and sharing that joy with others. In addition to her husband, Dennis, she is survived by four children, Alicia Marie Rodick and husband Matthew of Lee's Summit; Shaina Kristen McDaniel and husband Shane of Jefferson City; Dee Ann Luebbering and husband Jay of St. Thomas and Cleo Jay Scheperle and his girlfriend Nichole Williams of Wardsville; three brothers, Charles Dean Cliburn of Jefferson City; Cecil Wayne Cliburn and wife Becky of St. Martins and Robert Lee Cliburn and wife Timmie of California; six grandchildren, Madison, Alec, and Anna Rodick, Dodge McDaniel, and Andrew and Courtney Luebbering, along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Bradey Luebbering. Funeral services were Wednesday, September 7, at St. John's Lutheran Church-Stringtown with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery-Stringtown.
