Frieda E. (Fletcher) Hensley

Frieda E. (Fletcher) Hensley, 74, Independence, Mo., passed away April 8, 2017. Frieda was born July 8, 1942, in Cooper County, Mo. and graduated from Prairie Home High School. She graduated from the Jefferson City School of Practical Nursing and worked at Research Hospital before taking a break from her career to raise a family. She later resumed her nursing career as a home health care nurse and retired in 2012. She was a member of Ridgeview Christian Church and more recently the Pleasant View Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing and worked as a seamstress for a time. She also enjoyed camping and road trips. She is survived by: sons, Bill Evans and wife, Betty, Grandview, Mo., Aaron Hensley, Gladstone, Mo.; daughter, Becky Cahill and husband, Patrick, Roswell, Ga.; son, Bruce Evans and wife, Dana, Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, Clay Fletcher, California, Mo.; Jerry Fletcher, Salt Lake City, Utah; sister, Sue Burlingame, Jamestown, Mo.; grandchildren, Savannah, Adam, Jessica, Tylor, Callia, Cassia, Kinley, Baylor, Daxton and four great-grandchildren. Frieda was preceded in death by: husbands, Bill Evans in 1979 and Danny Hensley in 2016. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, Mo. 64055. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris, Mo.
