Leola Lorene (Albin) Heather, 85, received her Angel Wings on Tuesday, morning, April 18, 2017, approximately at 8 a.m., in the home of her nephew, Terry L. Wetzig of McGirk, Mo., after a lengthy illness. She was born August 26, 1931, the daughter of Jessie and Sallie (Wright) Albin in Clarksburg, Mo., both proceeded her in death. On March 12, 1966, she married Gilbert Adoph Heather, who proceeded her in death in 1982. There were no children of this union. Growing up in Clarksburg, Mo., she graduated from the Clarksburg High School in 1949 when Clarksburg still had a High School. She was employed by the Striderite Shoe Factory for over 30 years, she retired when the factory closed. Beside being preceeded in death by her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by both her siblings, sister, Leone Irene Wetzig and brother, Ray Leonard Albin. As well as many other family members and friends. She is survived by: 3 nephews, Ronald Albin, Danny Albin and Terry Wetzig, along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews. In recent months she had enjoyed being around two of her great-great nieces, Kristyn and Katie, as they assisted in caring for her in her final days. Funeral arrangements were held Friday April, 21, 2017, visitation was from 10 a.m. - noon, services were held at noon, graveside services followed at the Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg, Mo. Memorials are recommended to the Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg, Mo. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
