Geneva Ziehmer, 97, of California, Mo., passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at Moniteau Care Center in California, Mo. She was born on October 23, 1919, in Jamestown, Mo., the daughter of Charles William Zimmerman and Katheryn Elizabeth Baer both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Sam Ziehmer who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Moniteau Advent Evangelical Church. She worked as a inspector at the Moniteau Woolen Mill for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, cooking, and was a big Cardinals baseball fan. Geneva was a very kind and loving aunt. Survivors include: one nephew, Michael Ziehmer and Pam Cafourek of Jefferson City, Mo.; one great-nephew, Jeffrey Ziehmer of Jefferson City, Mo; one sister-in-law, Ruby Ziehmer of California, Mo. She was preceded in death by: three sisters and two brothers. Visitation was held on Sunday, January 8, 2017, from 12 noon 1 p.m., funeral service followed at 1:00 p.m., both at the funeral home. Officiated by, Mr. Jack Bowlin. Burial was held at the Moniteau Evangelical Advent Cemetery near Jamestown, Mo. Memorials are suggested to the Moniteau Evangelical Advent Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
